Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the basin to cover the pump so it never runs dry. A small reservoir drops fast, faster indoors with heating on, so check every few days.
Use filtered or distilled water in hard water areas. White mineral film shows clearly against dark rock and settles into the crevices where the moss detail sits.
Cleaning
Wipe with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners away from the moss detail. Rinse the pump every few months, since small pumps clog sooner than large ones. Clear debris from the ledges, because on short falls a small blockage diverts a whole level.
