Collection: Garden Statues

Plants grow, fade, and change with the season. A statue does not. It is the one thing in a garden that stays exactly where it is all year, which means it decides what the place looks like in January.

Choose by position before subject. An open lawn needs three feet or more before a piece holds it. Beside a doorstep, sixteen inches is enough. On a paved terrace, something that takes a drink or a plant will earn its space more often than a figure that only stands there.

Weight is what makes concrete the right material. Heavy enough to skip anchoring, heavy enough to shrug off a dog or a child, and heavy enough that it settles into a garden over the years rather than staying obviously new.
