Four Spouts on a Ten Inch Square of Desk
The constraint on a desk fountain is not the height, it is the square. Ten and a half inches on a side is what this one occupies, roughly a dinner plate, and it is the reason it can sit on a working desk rather than needing a side table of its own.
Inside that square there are four separate pours. The bowls are terracotta toned with engraved bands cut around them, mounted at four heights on gray columns, and each one has a spout that sends water to the one below as a visible stream rather than an overflow. Four streams in a ten inch square is a lot of movement for the space.
The basin is matte black with a chevron pattern pressed around the outside and river pebbles inside, which is what pulls the piece toward the boho end rather than the office supply end. Warm light sits in the bowls, so it works in a dim room as well as a bright one.
