Four Pillars, Four Slots, No Texture at All
Nearly everything in this category is trying to look like something else. Cast to imitate rock, or slate, or weathered terracotta, with texture pressed into the surface to sell the imitation. This one is not imitating anything. It is four square columns in plain cement gray, and the only detail on the whole piece is the rectangular slot cut through each pillar where the water comes out.
That is the reason to pick it. A modern pillar fountain with no applied texture sits correctly next to poured concrete, painted render, composite decking and powder coated metal, which is what most new outdoor spaces are actually made of. A cast rock formation does not.
The pillars are staggered in height, so the water sheets out of the tallest slot, drops to the next, and steps down through all four. Each slot has a warm light beneath it, so at night you get four horizontal bars of lit water while the columns themselves go into the dark.
