Everything else in this lineup is resin doing an impression of stone. This one is the real thing — cast concrete, 25.46 lbs of it in a piece just over two feet tall. You feel the difference before you plug anything in: the surface is cool and matte the way only cement is, and it doesn't move in wind, period. The design keeps out of the material's way — a square tapered column, a shallow bowl, and a sphere the water wells over, sheeting quietly down into the bowl with the LED glowing at the crown.

If you already own one of our concrete bird baths, you know exactly what this material does in a garden — it weathers into place instead of wearing out. This is that, with water running through it.

Where It Earns Its Spot

This is the one for a zen or gravel garden — bamboo screening, river stones, clean lines — where a resin piece would feel slightly off and real material reads immediately. At just over two feet it works beside a path or entry step without blocking anything behind it. Fair warning on the practical side: the reservoir holds only 0.7 gallons, the smallest in our lineup, so in hot dry weather plan to top it up every day or two rather than weekly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this actually concrete, or concrete-look resin?

Actual cast concrete — it's the only piece in this collection that is. That's why it weighs 25 lbs at a modest height, sits dead-stable in wind, and has that cool matte surface resin can only imitate.

Can it stay out through winter?

Here's the honest trade-off of real concrete: water freezing inside it can crack it. Drain the bowl and reservoir completely before hard freezes, and store the pump indoors. The column itself handles cold fine once it's dry.

How often does it need water?

More often than our bigger fountains — the reservoir is 0.7 gallons, so evaporation takes a visible bite in summer. Check it every day or two in hot weather; running the pump dry is what kills pumps.

What does it sound like?

Adjustable, from a near-silent trickle over the sphere to a modest cascade into the bowl. Even at full flow it's a close-range sound — calm, not showy.
