Actual Metal, and a Wildflower Band Cut Through It
This is the one piece here that is not cast. The column is metal, powder coated a light gray, with a band of wildflower shapes laser cut through the wall so you can see straight through them. A warm light sits inside the column, so after dark the cut flowers glow from within and the rest of the column goes dark.
That is a different kind of object from a cast stone fountain, and it behaves differently. Metal keeps a crisp edge that resin cannot hold, so the cut shapes have clean lines rather than softened ones. It is also why the whole piece weighs eleven and a half pounds at thirty four inches, which is remarkably little.
The sphere on top is a bubbler rather than a spout. Water rises through it and runs down the curve, so the surface stays wet and moving without any splash at all. If you want a fountain that is visually interesting but almost silent, this is the one.
