Six and a Half Feet That Leans on the Wall
Seventy nine inches of height on a footprint of 31.5 by 23.2 inches, and only 33.3 pounds. Those three numbers only make sense together once you understand what this is. It is not a free standing tower. It is built to sit against a wall or a fence, so the structure behind it is doing the work that mass would otherwise have to do, and that is why it can be this tall without being heavy.
Water sheets down across wide horizontal tiers in a series of curtains, falling from one geometric ledge to the next rather than through spouts or channels. Nine warm white LEDs sit beneath the tiers and light each curtain from below, so after dark you see the water rather than the slate.
The pump and the lights run on separate plugs, so either can operate without the other. Run the lights on a still evening for the glow without the sound, or the water in daylight with the lights off. Plan for two outlets or an outdoor rated power strip.
What Makes This Fountain Different
- It needs a wall, and that is the design rather than a limitation. A free standing fountain at this height has to carry enough mass to stay upright on its own, which is why the tall solid pieces here weigh fifty pounds and up. Setup, Care, and Warranty
Placement against a wall
This piece is designed to sit against a wall or fence rather than stand free, and at six and a half feet on 33.3 pounds that is not a styling suggestion. Choose a solid vertical surface behind it and a level solid base underneath, and keep it out of open positions where wind can reach it from every direction.
Plan for two outlets or an outdoor rated power strip, since the pump and the lights have separate plugs. Level it before filling, because sheet flow out of plumb runs heavier on one side of every tier.
Water level and wind
Keep enough water in the reservoir to cover the pump at all times. Sheet flow spread across wide tiers exposes a lot of water to the air, so evaporation is faster than the reservoir size suggests and needs checking every few days in warm weather.
Wind is the other consideration. A sheet of water is easy to blow sideways off a ledge, which costs water and wets whatever is beside it. A sheltered wall position solves both the stability and the drift problem at once.
Cleaning the slate faces
Wipe the wet faces with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off the finish. In hard water areas a pale film builds along the ledge edges where the water releases, and on a dark slate surface it shows sooner than on pale stone. Clean it before it sets rather than after.
Winter storage
Before hard freezes, drain the reservoir and every tier completely, disconnect and store the pump indoors, and dry the piece out. At 33.3 pounds it comes inside without difficulty, and given the height that is easier than covering it in place.

Can it stand on its own in the open?
No, and this is the main thing to plan around. Six and a half feet at 33.3 pounds relies on a wall or fence behind it for stability. In an open position it is vulnerable to wind and to being knocked. If what you need is a free standing tall fountain, choose one of the heavier solid pieces instead.
Why is it so light for its height?
Because it does not have to hold itself up. Free standing tall fountains carry mass specifically for stability, which is why they run fifty pounds and above. A wall mounted design transfers that job to the structure behind it, so the fountain only needs enough material for the water path and the shell. The trade is that it must have a wall.
How is it different from the narrow water wall fountains?
Scale and format. The narrow water walls are around 39 inches and under eight inches deep, built for a strip along a fence. This is twice that height and considerably wider, so it fills a wall rather than fitting beside a path. Same sheet flow principle, very different amount of presence.
Is it safe around children and pets?
